Advances in Pipeline and Riser Design

Tuesday 3 May
606
Technical / Poster Session
This session is useful to researchers and engineers working on design, construction, repair, maintenance, and operation of oil and gas pipelines and risers. The session will highlight recent advances in pipeline and riser technology covering fabrication, offshore deployment and operation, with emphasis on cost effective solutions. The aim is to assist engineers by offering validated model tests and case studies that can be used as design reference. The presentations will cover topics such as first offshore use of adhesively bonded mechanically lined pipe, mitigation of stress corrosion cracking using the non-intrusive PipeACOM System, presentations on leak detection, including use of real-time downhole gauges, presentation on the subsea pipeline data interchange system, and two presentations on the Residual Curvature Method for a cost effective buckling mitigation.
