This session will include a panel discussion moderated by the Director of COS with leadership from BSEE and the U.S. Coast Guard. The discussion will be focused on safety, safety management, and future regulatory activity. From offshore inspections to incident response and investigations, the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) and the United States Coast Guard (USCG) collaborate extensively to provide a whole of government approach to offshore safety and environmental compliance. The two federal agencies work closely together on issues that overlap their organizations' shared regulatory oversight for the Outer Continental Shelf to reduce redundancy, ensure consistency and provide clarity for the regulated community. Throughout this panel, you’ll hear directly from the leadership of both agencies, as they discuss their perspective on offshore safety, including Safety and Environmental Management Systems (SEMS). Get the latest insight about offshore compliance, learning from incident investigations, and their efforts to advance a safety minded approach in offshore operations.
