Hiber B.V.: Technology to Make Well Monitoring Truly Simple: Keeping Wells Efficient and Clean During the Energy Transition
The world is in the middle of the energy transition. Oil and gas will be needed for the coming decades, but the industry is working to become more efficient and clean. This development starts with data at the well level. We are used to the idea that everything can be monitored remotely: Well monitoring technologies have been around for decades. But surprisingly, 90% of wells in the world are still monitored manually. Traditional technologies are simply too expensive and complex. With 90% of wells unconnected, a big part of the industry is flying blind - unable to improve efficiency and environmental exposure. Closing this gap by connecting thousands of wells is a tremendous challenge. Tom Krikke will be speaking about how new technologies can help overcome that challenge.
