Keynote Speaker Series

Paul Clark is Chevron’s Deepwater Asset Class Director. In this capacity, Paul leads efforts across Chevron to drive deepwater asset class excellence; steward strategic technology decisions; and share best practices to achieve industry-leading results in the deepwater asset class.

Chevron’s strategy is to leverage the company’s strengths to lead in efficient and lower carbon production of traditional oil and gas while growing lower carbon businesses of the future. We believe offshore deepwater exploration and production is a key element of a lower carbon energy system, and the deepwater asset class remains an important part of Chevron’s portfolio. In 2023, Chevron is planning to invest more than 20% of Upstream CapEx in projects in the Gulf of Mexico. Paul Clark’s keynote presentation will discuss Chevron’s approach to leveraging its assets, capabilities, and relationships to drive best-in-class performance in deepwater through strategic development and application of technology; deploying standardized, supplier-led solutions that improve efficiency, cost, and scale; and developing partnerships focused on lowering carbon and improving returns.
